About

I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Thermomechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic. I run numerical simulations of flow in the atmosphere. I also try to predict pullutants in air using machine learning models.

I am also a teacher of the Flow in Atmospheric Boundary Layer course at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague.

I am interested in data analysis and visualization , numerical modeling and machine learning models.

I enjoy working with Python, R , HTML, LaTeX and OpenFOAM.

Skills

I like programming in Python and R for analysing and visualization of data. I also know how to work in Matlab, C++, HTML, CSS and a little bit of JavaScript. I love writing documents and presentations in LaTeX, but I also know how to use MS Office. For numerical modelling of flow in the atmosphere, I use OpenFOAM with FreeCAD for creating geometry and ParaView for vizualization of results.

Education

I obtained my Ph.D. in 2015 at the Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague. The topic of my dissertation thesis was Application of Optimization Methods in Hydrological Modelling . During my studies, I spent 10 months at the Wageningen University in Netherlands studying the first year of the Earth and Environment MSc. study program.

Work Experience

Since 2014, I am an employee of the Institute of Thermomechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. During my Ph.D. studies, I applied for internal grants and I taught many lectures and practicals. I am the main lecturer of the course Flow in Atmospheric Boundary Layer since 2015. I teach this course in English and since 2023 also in Czech language.
